Karima & Alex - Highlight Film 6’39” -MasterPiece - London, Private Club

It happened in the middle of the summer last year when we arrived onto a rehearsal dinner ... as I initially thought but it turned into special engagement ceremony that I had never experienced before. Adding, I realized, there is no photographer at all so I started to feel the big load on my shoulder that I am the only one who cover and record this very special moment, here in London between a Nigerian bride and Austrian fiance and all their families and relatives coming from their native country.

The next day started as usual with make - up and preparation of the bride while her fiance was waiting in the church. They had an amazingly fantastic church ceremony but with lot of regulation toward me what I am allowed to do and what I am not supposed to do. Here in London, I am getting used to these special rules.

The real hectic work came with the reception where all the programs were held in two different halls and rooms where being in two rooms in one time was just impossible. An African dance has just finished but before I would had possibility to take a deep breath I heard that I am already missing something very special in the main hall. Crawling through the crowd, I glanced Karima as the way she dances at the steps surrounded by her father and other relatives throwing money toward her. It took around 10 minutes but I felt, if I had only one minute to capture this special moment. At the end, Karima and Alex just got into the car and they gone. At this point, I had an hour to have some relax before the next chapter.

When the dinner started, I also realized that it's been kept in two different halls in the same time. One of us were staying permanently in the green hall and I was the one who tried to be in the red hall and in the green hall in order to follow Karima and Alex. At the end, they had a lovely opening dance to open the dancing party.

Despite the fact that I call this film as my Masterpiece of 2013, coming home, we both agreed that this was our hardest Wedding ever we experienced in our last four years.
