They escaped the noise of the celebration to find the silence of the mountain. There, where the earth breathes fire and the wind asks no permission, Pablo and Shirin walked upon ancient lava, dressed like the royalty of a forgotten dynasty.
The red of Shirin’s dress burned against the blackness of the volcanic stone—a living flame dancing at the whim of the wind. Pablo, her anchor in the storm, held her not to hold her back, but to fly with her. Amidst the pines and the mist, time seemed to dissolve; they were no longer two people posing, but two souls merging with the landscape, as eternal and wild as the volcano watching over them.
In that sunset, they discovered that love, much like nature, is a beautiful, uncontrollable, and perfect force.
