Lucinda & Matthew | Beach Wedding in Kefalonia

Lucinda and Matthew travelled from England to get married at the beautiful Ionian island, Kefalonia. Having the chance to work with this amazing couple proved to be an incredible and creative experience.
Both the wedding photographer, George Stravolemos and we were fascinated by the natural landscape, which was mirrored on the mesmerizing shots from above the blue sea and the white rocks. The wedding ceremony planned by Cleopatra’s Weddings and the flowers by Benetatos created one of the most simple and elegant decorations we have seen this year.
One of the highlights of the wedding was the emotional speech delivered by Matthew during the ceremony at Villa Rosa Apartments. “I proposed to Lu last summer we were on holiday here in Kefalonia. While we were walking on the beach the day before the big day, I noticed some hammocks and I knew that was where I wanted to propose. I walked over to her, kissed her and asked her how much she loved me, millions, she said. But how much do you really love me? To the moon, every star and back, Lu said. Do you love me enough to marry me? She froze and looked shocked. When she could speak she said ‘Yes’. Lu and I have been through so much together and we’ve supported each other through everything. I’ve always been very strong-minded, and I haven’t been wanting to share or care too much, but Lu has changed that part of me. She is such a caring person and I know I am incredibly lucky to have married her. Lu you are my soulmate, my best friend and my lover. I promise to protect you and keep you safe until the day I die”.
Referring back to the moment she first watched the wedding video, Lucinda confesses that it made them, and their families cry over and over again. The video makes her relive the most precious moments of her wedding day and cherishes the moments spent in Greece.
