Sicily presents itself as a well-defined island. The boundary lines between earth and sea are well-drawn, and it is in the inner part of it that very important pages of the modern mankind history have taken place. Back to before the Western civilization borders extended to America, everything used to spun around this tiny strip of land in the Mediterrean sea.

Literature, music and poetry have been trying to shape it, to explain the reason why so many vicissitudes, myths and tales deeply marked its story and to understand how it is possible to stay in such fragile and delicate balance, for ages.

As Bufalino underlines, there is not a single Sicily, but moltitudes of it. We wonder: will beauty ever find the meaning of an alchemy that hides behind invisible particles to the eyes and the rational thought? Human history teaches us it is possible and that it is so thanks to imagination, which leads to a change. This is where the utopistic and the dreamy come from.

It always makes you think twice how people's character is deeply influenced by the places and the nature they have been living in and the light they go along with. In Sicily places are just like the ones they are lived by: luxuriant, yet desert; white, yet dark; warm, yet freezing. There is a place for each colour, for each soul condition. To grow up at the feet of a volcano like Etna cannot do anything but mark you for the rest of your life.
This is where it all started. This is where the miracle of life renovates everyday and where, ironically from fire, everthing has originated. There is not a single ancient civilization who has passed this island not wishing to own it. Mount Etna reminds us of who we are and where we come from, it reminds us that Nature creates and breaks everything down at the same time and that it is not possible to back out of it.

We exposed ourselves. Together we tried to imagine a future made of brave bets and beauty. To these places we devoted our inspiration. We would like to discover a new unconscious, which can give us hope for a better, different tomorrow.

"Almost from the time when Polyphemus walked around Etna, or when Ceres taught the Sicilians the cultivation of grain, to this day, Sicily has been the scene of constant wars and invasions, and intrepid resistance. The Sicilians are a mixture of almost all breeds of the south and north; before sicani Aborigines with Phoenicians, Carthaginians, Greeks, and slaves from all over the world, imported to the island because of trafficking or war; then Arabs, Normans, and Italians . The Sicilians, during all of these transformations and modifications, have struggled, and continue to struggle for their freedom ... "
Friedrich Engels

The desire of combining our competences together was born from the one of exploring this land through new eyes, in order to understand what we love the most about it and how we would like it to be seen, discovered and unveiled. Why is it always the stereotyped side among the moltitude of Sicilies the one that emerges? This places can be given a new life and become the scenario of unforgettable moments and tales once again.

There are those who were born in Sicily and have always bet on it, there are those who are away and silently crave to come back home, and those who discovered it during a trip, learning how to love it. Different looks, different sounds, tied together by the desire of telling it again and again, in order to give it a new chance.

Victor Ortega, Giuseppe Marano, Rossella D'Agata, Anna Fucà, Cinzia Budigna, Massimiliano Donnarumma, are the names behind this desire, a silent yet tenacious one. Together we played with the elements this land gives us everyday: molten, symbol of the constant renovation of nature and of creation, which turned to rings that mark an eternal link of our souls; narcissus, amazing flowers given by a dry yet rich land; red wine, red like the lava, which covers so many old paths yet marks the latest streets and that lights up the night sky in this triangle of world where nature surely did not use itself sparingly.

A way too big love to be kept inside, a joy to the eyes and the soul that makes us so happy and proud we want to show it to the world, so that everyone can know these places, these stories and these people exist.
