Catholic Wedding in Naxos, Greece | J&N
We had the opportunity to attend Julie and Nicolas' wedding on the beautiful Greek island of Naxos. The lovely couple had flown from France to Naxos with their families and friends to hold their wedding there.
They wished to marry in a setting that France lacked. Endless azure Aegean waters coupled with lowlands, mountains, and cliffs; picturesque little white buildings; and a nation full of warmth and kind-hearted people to welcome them and make the start of their adventure unforgettable.
They've had a connection with Naxos for years for their parents acquired a property on the island and spent most of their summers there since they were children.
We performed a pre-wedding session in the idyllic villages of Naxos the day before the wedding to get to know one other and become acquainted with the camera. They went through the well-known brick lanes of Greek islands like Naxos, showing the magnificence of the island they selected to begin their journey on.
The next day, the wedding day, they both dressed at "Ayiopetra Exclusive Getaways" and shared their first appearance in front of all their loved ones. The bride's haute couture laced wedding gown was stunning and exuded elegance.
The touching ceremony was held in French in a Naxos Catholic church, surrounded with music and poetry. Julie and Nicolas exchanged vows, pledging to love one other completely and to cherish the common life they began in front of their loved ones on that hot summer day.
Cycladic Events, the wedding planner, created a lovely minimal decoration with olive leaves and white roses as the primary elements.
The couple then returned to the reception to greet the guests and drink cocktails, after we conducted a little couple session with them in the lovely hamlet of Filoti on Naxos. The photobooth, where guests took souvenir pictures, captured our hearts since we saw so many cheerful faces.
Their guests continued to surprise them by speaking cool things about the pair, making funny skits and dancing to get them in the mood for the celebration quicker. Nicolas' first dance created the impetus for the long-lasting party.
We had the pleasure of working with Nian Photography and had an absolutely amazing collaboration.
